The Terres d’Hérault Geopark launched to UNESCO
#LABEL – It is on the banks of Lake Salagou that the president of the Department of Hérault Kléber Mesquida launched, this Tuesday, the UNESCO labeling process for the Terres d'Hérault Geopark which he has been leading since 2022. At the heart of a perimeter of 2,046 km², this Geopark brings together 112 municipalities in the north-east of Hérault, 4 communities of municipalities, 3 unions mixed management and 109,000 inhabitants and allows, through its exceptional sites (Navacelles cirque, Taussac organs, Vissou peak, Héric gorges, Mourèze cirque, etc.), to tell stories over the ages geological and to see the evolution of the Earth over a period of 540 million years. “These sites are part of our heritage”indicated the elected official, who sees in this approach also a tourist interest.
Cédric Jubilar will be tried at the assizes in September 2025
#TARN – Returned to the Tarn Assize Court, Cédric Jubillar will be tried there on September 22, 2025, revealed this Tuesday The Dispatch. He will have to explain the charge of spousal homicide. His partner, Delphine Jubillar, disappeared in 2020 in Cagnac-les-Mines and has not been found since. Incarcerated for more than three years and indicted on June 18, 2021, Cédric Jubillar saw all his requests for release rejected. Investigators are convinced that he killed his wife Delphine, who had just announced her intention to divorce.
The Nougaro exhibition will pass through Nîmes, Mende, Rodez and Perpignan
#OCCITANIA – After organizing an exhibition Nougaro-New York-Nougaro ! at the Maison de la Région in New York, the community (in partnership with the Claude Nougaro Association) continues its tribute to Claude Nougaro, as part of the twentieth anniversary of his death, by exhibiting texts and photos retracing his work. After being shown at the Hôtel de Région in Toulouse, where it ends, this exhibition will then go on tour to eight Houses in my Region. First in Nîmes, where it will be presented from January 6 to 30. It will then pass notably through Mende (from February 3 to 23), then through Rodez (from March 13 to 28) and Perpignan (from April 3 to 25).

#OCCITANIA – This is the number of carbon monoxide poisonings reported to ARS Occitanie last year. Three deaths have been reported since 2018 in the region because of this invisible, odorless and non-irritating gas, which comes 40% from heating installations and 21% from auxiliary heating whose system is faulty. The ARS has therefore relaunched a communication campaign to encourage people to check their equipment and ventilate their homes in winter.
An innovative tele-imaging center
#Montpellier – In the heart of Montpellier, the Imadis company has invested since July in the premises of the former Saint-Charles hospital. Around thirty radiologists take turns in this tele-imaging center. The exams (scanner, MRI, etc.) are sent by eight hospitals and a clinic in Occitanie, which have signed a partnership with the group. Montpellier is the 12th center opened by the company in France. It collaborates with 200 establishments. Created fifteen years ago in Lyon, Imadis has ridden a triple movement: the doubling in twenty years of the number of visits to the emergency room, the lack of doctors in the emergency room and the decline in the number of radiologists, who are less than 9,000 in France. “This unique organization in Europe, inspired by that of the Samu, allows radiologists to devote themselves 100% to incoming requests, which means that each request is processed in a few minutes”explains Arthur Hamel-Senecal, head of Imadis Groupe Montpellier.
