In Mont-de-Marsan on November 15, Stade Montois hosted the second edition of the Fiber Trophies in Les Landes, an event organized by the Syndicat Départemental d'Equipement des Communes des Landes (SYDEC), in partnership with the operator Altitude Infra. Nearly 70 local actors gathered to highlight the exemplary initiatives that accompany the digital transition in the department.

Fiber coverage completed and significant resultsWith more than 217 000 sockets deployed on the territory, including 118,000 carried out by Altitude Infra, the Landes now displays: A fiber penetration rate of 51 %. A remarkably low connection failure rate of only 4 %.These figures demonstrate the collective commitment to making digital a lever for development and inclusion.
The Winners of the 2024 Fiber TrophiesFive categories were rewarded for their contribution to economic growth:
Communal dynamism : Six communes (Bascons, Saint-André de Seignanx, Aubagnan, Garrey, Clermont, Ozourt) were awarded for their exemplary adoption of fiber and their remarkable digital initiatives.
Construction : Altitude Infra Construction and the field teams of SYDEC were rewarded for their effective collaboration throughout the four years of deployment of the PIXL network. Support for deployment: The Community of Communes of Pays d’Orthe & Arrigans was praised for its coordination between its teams, SYDEC and PIXL.
Seniors and digital: Nadège Lalanne, digital advisor for the Communauté de communes des Terres de Chalosse, was recognized for her work with seniors, helping them discover and use digital tools.
Digital inclusion: The & Services association, represented by its director Cyrielle Couralet, received an award for its digital mediation program, which supports precarious populations in the appropriation of essential digital tools for employment and administrative procedures.
Landes facing the digital transitionAt the end, Arnaud Van Troeyen, Managing Director of Altitude Infra, Laurent Civel, Managing Director of SYDEC and Xavier Terraube, Director of Cuivre programs discussed during a round table. The discussions focused on the issues of the transition to fiber and the challenges linked to the shutdown of the copper network. The importance of raising awareness among citizens and strengthening coordination between communities was highlighted to ensure a successful and smooth transition.
“The transition to fiber is a major opportunity to energize the territories and guarantee the digital inclusion of all Landais” underlined Arnaud Van Troeyen, at the conclusion of this day rich in exchanges and perspectives.
