“Anyone but Macron”. This was the message that Pascal Bugis, the diverse right-wing mayor of Castres, had conveyed before the first round of the legislative elections. For this second round, unsurprisingly, the speech is the same while in his city, divided into two constituencies, duels will see candidates supported by the National Rally face off against candidates from the presidential majority or who are close to it.

On the 1st, the outgoing RN MP Frédéric Cabrolier is in a favorable position against the centrist Philippe Bonnecarrère. On the 3rd, the vice-president of the Republicans Guilhem Carayon supported by the RN is also largely in the lead against the outgoing Ensemble MP Jean Terlier.
