Two days after the murder of a 39-year-old man, stabbed in Pineuilh, east of Bordeaux, a judicial investigation was opened and a new suspect placed in police custody on Monday.

According to our sources, the suspect was arrested without incident in Bordeaux, where he had fled. His profile corresponds to that of Mouloud A., a Moroccan in an irregular situation in France, who is subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF). A priori, he knew his victim, Zouhir A., ​​born in Morocco and now French, with whom he resided.

Four roommates

The heated altercation – which would have led him to stab the latter with a knife on Saturday – would also have taken place in their apartment in Pineuilh (Gironde), where the deceased’s older brother, Hamza A., also lived, who was drunk at the time of the facts. Taken to the Sainte-Foy-la-Grande hospital by the fourth and last roommate, known as “Jamel“, Zouhir A. died of his injuries eleven minutes after arriving in the emergency room on Saturday night. Two police custody, lifted on Sunday, followed.
