This Sunday, June 30, 2024, the French were called to the polls for the 1is round of early legislative elections following the dissolution declared by Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic at the end of the European elections. Citizens were there in Anjou since 70.30% of registered voters came to cast a ballot in Maine-et-Loire, a historic turnout. According to the results sent by the Maine-et-Loire prefecture at 8 p.m. (provisional results), it was the presidential majority Ensemble that received the most votes with 32.19% of the votes, followed by the National Rally with 28.11%, then the New Popular Front with 23.03% and the Republicans with 10.08%. In the two Saumur constituencies, it was the National Rally that came out on top, with a very narrow lead over the 4th. Edouard Bourgeault (RN), Anne-Laure Blin (LR) and Patrick Alexandre (NFP) have reached the second round in the 3rd constituency (Saumur-Nord). Aurore Lahondès (RN), Laetitia Saint-Paul (ENS) and Charlyne Bouvet have also qualified for the second round in the 4th constituency (Saumur-Sud), as they have more than 12.5% ​​of registered voters.
