It was in the form of free workshops that, from November to May, volunteer students benefited from the advice of Aït Belkacem, photographer in Nevers, and Mrs. Quatrale, English teacher and experienced photographer.

Young photographers used their smartphones to take pictures on the themes of shapes, lines and colours. Portraiture, nature and reporting are also in the spotlight.

Through the photographs exhibited, the work carried out on the perspectives, the framing is impressive when we know that the artists were mainly in 6th grade e et 4 e and discovered for the first time a use other than that of the selfie.

Semmer and Aaliyah, 6th grade students e are delighted to have had the opportunity to “see how to take a photo”. Having come the first time “by chance”, they continued to participate and “loved it”. They will also be “more demanding” for their future photos.

Aït Belkacem and Ms. Quatrale carried out this project with the financial support of the Regional Academic Delegation for Artistic and Cultural Education and the rectorate of the Dijon academy. Given the results obtained, a reflection on a potential continuation next year is underway.
