The Pandora Supper Club, located on Boulevard Saint-Martin Ouest, was visited by one or more criminals on the night of June 30, resulting in an arson attack.
It was the fire alarm at the location that went off around 4:33 a.m. and alerted 911, the first of the 7 units of the Laval Fire Department required for the intervention, namely 26 firefighters and their officers, arriving on the scene 5 minutes later.
At that moment, flames were already visible through the front window of this restaurant and reception hall located in the far east of Chomedey.
Firefighters quickly attacked the source of the fire and knocked down the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to the roof of the building.
Quick mastery
It was around 5 a.m. that the firefighters took complete control of the situation, but not before the fire caused damage summarily estimated at $50,000 for the structure of this commercial building and $25,000 for its contents.
Due to suspicious items found on site, including two cans of gasoline, the incident file was forwarded to the Laval Police Department for further investigation into this new fire of criminal origin targeting a restaurant, particularly in the Chomedey sector.
