The finals of the TC Tours tournament counting for the Centre-Val de Loire circuit took place on Sunday morning under the sun and in front of a large audience.

The men’s final pitted the two favourites against each other: Jean-Jacques Rakotohasy (-2/6, Poitiers) and Isaac Lhomond (-2/6, TC Tours). The two players, who had met three weeks ago in Fondettes, started the match with their foot to the floor: Rakotohasy lost his serve right away at the end of a first game that lasted nearly twenty minutes, with around fifteen equalisers. The ladies’ final saw Amahée Charrier (-4/6, ATG Tours) and Léa Falentin (0, Vendôme), who created a surprise by dominating Chloé Cirotte (-4/6, Orléans) in the semi-finals. -finals. The duel started well for Charrier, who immediately broke his opponent at 2-0. But it came back very quickly, equalizing at 2-2.

Charrier overturns the surprising Falentin

It was then a succession of breaks and unbreaks to reach the deciding game, which was won by Léa Falentin (12-10). She took advantage of her competitor’s nervousness and her varied game.

The start of the second set was still to the advantage of the Vendômoise, who broke at the start but was immediately joined by the Tourangelle, who gradually installed her more powerful game to win the second set (6-3).

In the third set, Charrier asserted her superiority and took advantage of her rival’s physical fatigue to close the affair (6-1). The ATG Tours player said at the end of the match that she was satisfied with retaining her title, she admitted to having been stressed in the first set and that she had played better in the second set.
