The five people were reportedly arrested by the Corsican gendarmerie’s research section. When contacted, the Ajaccio public prosecutor indicated that this intervention was led by an Ajaccian investigating magistrate, and specified that he could not comment further on it in this context.

The five people arrested on Tuesday could be held in police custody for up to 96 hours.
