Since 1987, AirBreizh monitor the air quality in Brittany by analyzing the concentration of different pollutants. According to the association, air quality will be “poor” in the Morbihan Sunday November 24, 2024.
If the air quality is “average” across the entire region this Saturday November 23, 2024this will not be the case on Sunday November 24, 2024.
The association whose mission is to “measure and anticipate air quality levels with regard to regulatory thresholds concerning around ten harmful pollutants in ambient air in Brittany” indicates that air quality will be “ bad” in the Morbihan.
“Poor” air quality in Morbihan this Sunday
Since 1is January 2021, the air quality index is determined from five pollutants: fine particles (PM10), very fine particles (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ozone ( O3) and sulfur dioxide (SO2).
Sunday November 24 is the index of PM2.5 which turns red in Morbihan.
These fine particles are “of natural origin (soil erosion, pollen, Saharan dust, forest fires, sea spray, etc.) or anthropogenic, emitted during the combustion of fossil materials, road transport, agricultural and industrial activities,” indicates AirBreizh.
