Since Thursday, May 2, 2024, a restaurant has opened its doors near the courthouse in Douai. Located at 30 rue Merlin de Douai, it is called Bar’O. Previously, the building was a creperie that had to close due to Covid.
Souleymane Konaté and Marc-Antoine Kucharski, the two managers of the restaurant, welcome you to a warm and pleasant place. Souleymane has more than 10 years of experience and ran a restaurant-bar in Bordeaux. Marc-Antoine, for his part, has worked in the restaurant business since he was 15.
“Good meat”
The specialty of this restaurant is meat. You can find a very wide range there. “There wasn’t this kind of offer before we arrived in Douai. The advantage is that everyone can come, whether it’s with friends, for a family dinner or for a little date.”explains Marc-Antoine Kucharski.
You will be able to see the cook cooking the meat on a 1m60 grill. The meat choices vary every week but there will always be two timeless choices: the rib on the bone and the entrecôte.
