The Bas-Rhin Information Center on the Rights of Women and Families (CIDFF) is missing more than €100,000 to pay the salaries of its thirty employees. Its usual budget, composed mainly of public subsidies, does not cover salary increases due to the extension of the “Ségur Prime” to the social sector, i.e. €248 gross per month for each employee, retroactive from January 2024 .
This bonus was granted by decree in August by the outgoing government, without its compensation from public finances for the associations having been discussed or proposed. Result: all CIDFFs in France are in difficulty and the national federation has launched an emergency fund to support its associations. The CIDFF du Bas-Rhin has put its own collection online in order to cope with this sudden compulsory expense.
A threatening situation for the CIDFF
In a press release, Léa Toledano, president of CIDFF 67, warns:
“Of course it is a good thing for our employees who deserve to be rewarded for work which is difficult and demanding but without funding from the public authorities, we find ourselves for the first time facing an extremely threatening situation for our association. »
The CIDFF du Bas-Rhin has been working for 50 years to support women victims of violence by providing them with listening, advice and support. The association also intervenes in the professional integration of women, their training and their access to employment and participates in raising awareness and providing information against sexist stereotypes and for real equality between women and men. The association has offices in Strasbourg, but also in most towns in Bas-Rhin.
