The suspect is said to have a very worrying psychiatric profile, aged around thirty, he was arrested this Friday (June 28) at his home by investigators from the Gendarmerie. Finally identified, he was able to be recovered without too much difficulty.
Placed in police custody, the man is currently being questioned but for the moment, nothing is filtering through. We only know that he would present disorders but something to be confirmed by an expert. According to our information, he would already be known at the medical level.
Attacked with a machete at home
As a reminder, early Thursday morning, a 46-year-old woman living in Petit-Bourg was attacked with a cutlass. The suspect who entered her home tried to rape her but she struggled strongly, putting the latter on the run.
The victim’s vehicle was then stolen and found damaged near Jarry. Several witnesses then indicated that they had seen him near Arnouville. The search system deployed over the following hours and then on Friday morning made it possible to locate him.
A particular mental profile
The accused should be referred tomorrow, Sunday, to the Pointe judicial center, with a view to possible indictment or automatic hospitalization in a specialized establishment if his condition requires it.
