In Antibes, children and teenagers have plenty to do this summer

Exercising, creating, moving, traveling… children and teenagers generally want to do a lot of things at once, and even more so when they are not at school. During these summer holidays, several activities are offered to 3-17 year olds.

Up to 11 years old, there are of course leisure centers. On the menu for children: discovery of the environment (visit to Posidonia and Natur’Abelha) and carrying out sporting and cultural activities. One show per month will be produced by the children, which they will present to their parents during family evenings organized by the leisure centers. Every Thursday evening, an overnight stay in a tent is planned at Les Colonnes.

Multi-sport courses and creative workshops

From CE2 to 5th grade, it is possible to register your child for multisport courses, from July 8 to August 30. Hiking, basketball, catamaran, handball, orienteering and even badminton are among the many sports that young people will (re)discover from Monday to Friday. Day trips are organized.

Between the ages of 11 and 17, young teenagers have the choice between the teen center at Colonnes and a youth leisure center at Ponteil beach. From July 8 to August 27, evening events will be offered to teenagers. From the age of 14, “citizen leisure activities” are set up to help develop creativity. Anne-Catherine Perigard is delighted: “Some kids come in and have never done any DIY in their lives, and they end up cutting, sanding, drawing and creating. Four one-week sessions have been planned, two of which are not yet full, from July 29 to August 9. The program includes making book huts from recycled wood.
