The lightweights Benoit Saint Denis et Renato Moicano have agreed to meet at the next UFC Fight Night Paris card scheduled for September 28 at the Accor Arena.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed the news this Friday, with both athletes verbally agreeing to the match. AG Fight reported the news.

Moicano travels to enemy territory as he attempts to claim his fourth consecutive victory. The former featherweight scored impressive wins over Brad Riddell and Drew Dober before a comeback win to stop Jalin Turner at UFC 300.

He will now look to defeat one of the division’s top prospects, with Saint Denis making his first appearance since his duel against Dustin Poirier at UFC 299.
Although he ultimately suffered a knockout loss that night, Saint Denis still managed to boost his stock with the performance, giving the former interim lightweight champion all Poirier could handle in the UFC 299 Fight of the Night.

The fight against Moicano gives Saint Denis the chance to return to fight in France after earning a “Fight of the Night” bonus for his win over Thiago Moises on the previous UFC Paris card in 2023.

It’s not yet known if the fight will serve as the headliner for the event, and with UFC Paris set for September, more fights are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
