JDA Bourgogne Dijon is pleased to announce the return of one of the most popular players among Dijon partners and supporters: American pivot Gavin WARE (206cm – 30 years old) has chosen to return to JDA for the next two seasons!
An emblematic pivot of the French championship revealed by the Metropolitans 92 in 2017 after a first successful professional experience with Antwerp (Belgium), Gavin subsequently signed up with the JDA for the 2018-2019 season. A winning choice for this mobile interior equipped with a most reliable mid-distance shot and an unparalleled sense of combat, confirming its potential in Betclic ELITE. In 2019, he attempted a new export and had a dominant season, turning in crazy averages of 18.9pts and 12.2rbds for 26 ratings in Japan (with the Kumamoto Vorters). Back in France for the 2020-2021 season, this time under the colors of BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, Gavin quickly regained his place among the best interior players in our championship then re-engaged, for two seasons, with JDA Basket during the summer 2021. Two full seasons where he allowed Dijon to play leading roles in Betclic ELITE (TOP5) as well as in the Champions League (TOP16), accumulating averages of 11.3pts and 6.0rbds per match. This summer, Gavin will make his third return to Burgundy to compete in his fourth season under the Dijon colors after another successful experience in Japan (this time with the Fukuoka Rizing). An experienced pivot and accustomed to European Cups, he should allow the team to perform both in Betclic ELITE and in the FIBA Europe Cup!
