The name Perle takes up that of an old Alsatian brand which was based in Schiltigheim and which closed in the early 1970s. Today, the new premises are located north of Strasbourg.
The Pearl Brewery was founded in 1882 by the great-great-grandfather of Christian ARTZNER, the current Master Brewer. Christian ARTZNER revived the brand in 2009, 40 years after the closure of the brewery.
The beers are produced on site. In the range of fine and delicate beers that are offered, some are present all year round: Perle Pils, Nature (organic blonde), Blanche Perle and the 7 Grains, IPA (India Pale Ale), Hop (ephemeral brew) and Perle dans les Vignes… and each season, the range expands with Noël, Florale, La Perle des Iles and many other surprises… including beers aged in barrels.
