A significant stormy episode is forecast by Météo France throughout the east of the country. 25 departments were placed in vigilance orange for storms, including the Cher in the south of the area, the Ardennes in the north and the Jura in the far east.
The Haut-Rhin is also affected.
Yellow alert for floods
According to Meteo France, it is end of the day that the weather will get complicated in the department. “A more generalized stormy deterioration then moves up from the south. It reaches the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region around 6 p.m. then the Grand-Est region around 8 p.m. before continuing its progression towards the north,” specifies the specialized site.
There could also be violent gusts of wind, hail and rain.
In addition to this orange vigilance for thunderstorms, Météo France warns the population regarding raw. In fact, an alert has been triggered concerning a rise in river levels, which could cause them to burst their banks.
Sunday, June 30, 2024 should see numerous showers spread across Haut-Rhin.
