At the Early Childhood Center

The Early Childhood department is offering a week of events focusing on reading stories to toddlers. “Big stories for little ears” will be held at the Early Childhood Center from July 4 to 10 for free, open-access activities. The event “Big stories for little ears” will be, from July 4 to 10, structured around workshops, offered to families and children from 0 to 4 years old: kamishibai readings, reading spaces for families, presentation of story aprons and reading mats… For adults, two evenings of debates on the theme of language acquisition are scheduled, as well as workshops to learn how to tell a story.
Thursday July 4 • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: workshops and activities around reading • 7:30 p.m.: evening debate around reading and language acquisition (registration required)
Friday July 5 • 9 a.m.-11 a.m.: workshops and activities around reading, open to the public • 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: parent workshops “Introduction to the art of telling a story to toddlers” (registration required)
Monday July 8th • 9 a.m.-11 a.m.: workshops and activities around reading • 2 p.m.-5 p.m.: parent workshops “Introduction to the art of telling a story to toddlers” (registration required)
Tuesday July 9th • 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m.: workshops and activities around reading • 7:30 p.m.: evening debate around reading and language acquisition (registration required)
Wednesday July 10: • 9 a.m.-11 a.m.: workshops and activities around reading A book will be offered to all resident families of Grand Montauban whose child was born in 2023, upon presentation of proof of address and a birth certificate.
