The Nièvre Departmental Council presented the prizes for its fourth call for “social and solidarity economy” projects. Initiatives encouraged in terms of animation and integration.

At the end of a session completed in record time (1 hour 30 minutes), including the introductory remarks on the national context, the Nièvre Departmental Council presented the prizes for its fourth call for “social and solidarity economy” projects on Friday, June 28.

Among eleven candidate structures, four winners were rewarded, sharing an envelope of 17,000 euros. This call for projects aims to develop local initiatives supported by ESS structures, to support the emergence of new structures or new projects, and all sectors of activity are eligible.

It was Jean-Paul Fallet, departmental advisor responsible for the social and solidarity economy, who presented the prizes, recalling the importance of the social and solidarity economy in Nièvre: “700 structures, 7,800 jobs and 45,000 volunteers “.

THE GO The Nivernaise Reception and Reintegration Association (Anar) received €4,800 for the opening of a second-hand shop planned for the end of the year, in its premises on rue de Marzy, in Nevers. This project combines textile reuse and economic integration.

Terrosol The association Terre nourishière et solidaire en Sud-Morvan, created a year ago near Luzy, works on agri-food issues, and obtained €4,000 to finance a four-month fixed-term position in order to lead a program activities (schools and general public). Food, cooking and the environment are at the heart of the approach. Terrosol, which has around fifty members, also aims to produce for food aid.

La Machine socio-cultural center The socio-cultural center Les Abeilles received €3,200 for the launch of a charity clothing store called “la machine à fringues”. Second-hand items are collected there to benefit low-income families.

The Dam, in Panneçot In Panneçot, on the banks of the Nivernais Canal, in a peaceful and bucolic setting, the Le Barrage association has created its “ZAD”: a Zone d’Animations Décalées. From April to September, it offers all kinds of shows and evenings, concerts, children’s entertainment, etc.

The Dam brings the Panneçot site to life

Free of charge. From August 15 to 17, it will host its “Mange Camions” festival, including concerts, a market and numerous food trucks. The association received €5,000 to contribute to the creation of a job, in order to develop the offer and the opening hours of this playground.
