In order to limit cars and the pollution they generate, the City of Angoulême (Charente) has decided, as it has for several years, to pedestrianize part of the center. Thus, all summer, two areas will only be accessible to pedestrians, reports Charente news.

Until September 16

Since June 21, a first pedestrian zone has been demarcated around Place du Palet, specifies the municipality on its website. “The pedestrian zone will be identical to the previous year, that is to say in the extension of rue Genève”, specifies the City. It will be accessible until September 16. Note that six parking spaces, including two reserved for people with reduced mobility, have been maintained.
