Charlene and Albert II of Monaco appeared this Thursday, June 27, during the official presentation of the Monegasque athletes for the Paris Games.

D-29 days before the start of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. A few weeks after carrying the Olympic flame in Monaco, the royal couple attended a new event around the Games. They were both expected at the Yacht Club de Monaco.

This Thursday, June 27, Charlène and Albert II of Monaco attended the official presentation of the athletes representing the principality during the Paris Olympic Games. For the occasion, Jacques and Gabriella’s parents appeared hand in hand, in outfits matching the colors of the Monegasque flag.

A sporting competition that is close to the hearts of the Monegasque princely couple. Indeed, if Charlène of Monaco is a former professional athlete, the latter had made her relationship with Albert II of Monaco official during the Turin Olympic Games in 2006. He explained to “Paris Match”: “The history of my family and that of my relationship with Princess Charlène are obviously linked to the Games. I will be there for those in Paris and, with the princess, we will go and encourage the athletes of the principality and follow the swimming competitions and athletics.”

The Olympic flame in Monaco

A few days ago, on June 18, the Olympic Games had already been the talk of the Rock. Indeed, the princely couple had happily participated in the torch relay that has been traveling through the different regions of France for almost two months. Upon its arrival in Monaco, the Olympic flame was taken in hand by the famous Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc. After several exchanges, the flame arrived on the forecourt of the prince’s palace before traveling a few meters in the hands of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene who jointly carried the 1.5 kilo structure. A ceremony that took place in the presence of the couple’s children Jacques and Gabriella.
