The exhibition ” Aiming correctly: pétanque and Provençal games through the lens of Hans Silvester » is the result of a collaborative work between Hans Silvester, a humanist photojournalist, formerly of the famous Agence Rapho, winner of the international Planet Albert Kahn prize in 2022 and the Museon Arlaten-musée de Provence. In the Chapel of the Museon Arlaten, Hans Silvester’s photographs interact with objects from the photographer’s private collection, the funds of the Museon Arlaten and other museums in the region. Pétanque and the Provençal game are also embodied in a series of contemporary testimonies from players, competition organizers and manufacturers of pétanque balls.
For these European Heritage Days, a tour guide will present the route of the temporary exhibition before inviting you to wander at your own pace. Meet at the chapel of the Museon Arlaten!
