After the ouster of Christine Penhouët, the chair of the deputy mayor for Education of Vannes (Morbihan) remained empty. Fabien Le Guernevé takes over this function. His first deadline will be the start of the school year in September 2024. Virginie Talmon takes over other delegations from the former deputy mayor.

For his part, Virginie Talmon becomes deputy mayor in charge of Health, Seniors and Intergenerational Links, Family and Children (multi-reception and leisure reception). She passes on two Christine Penhouët wallets.

Judicial component still in progress

In March 2024, a decree withdrew the delegations (family, youth, early childhood and education) from Christine Penhouët. Then deputy mayor, she was targeted by acts of harassment against a civil servant. The elected official filed a complaint against X for public defamation.

Asked about the legal follow-up to this case, Mayor David Robo did not wish to comment “because she has taken legal action.”

“We have cordial relations,” he added. The departmental councilor was present at several of the mayor’s outings in recent weeks.

Change in the city council

During the municipal council of June 24 2024, Elen Kergueris, municipal councilor, from the list “Vannes, c’est Vous”, resigns for personal reasons. Her replacement is known: William the Oak.

During the 2020 municipal elections, then aged 38, he was a college director (Cleu-Saint-Jospeh in Redon). The forty-year-old still works in teaching (in Vannes).
