Angoulême: free entertainment all over the city with the Beaux jours

The mapping has been revisited and will be presented on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings in the courtyard of the town hall.

OThere should be no dull moment this summer in Angoulême. “There is not a day when something will not happen,” pointed out the mayor of Angoulême, Xavier Bonnefont, as he unveiled the Beaux jours program: free entertainment every day, for all audiences in around fifteen different locations.

Among the new features, the return of the fireworks on July 13, after a cancellation last year for budgetary reasons. “It was a necessary choice to put the foot on the brakes. A fireworks display is a budget of €25,000. But after the stabilization of the cost of energy which is even tending towards a decrease, we have made savings, we can reinvest.”

The fire will be fired from Bourgine Island and visible, as every year, from Boulevard Besson-Bey or from the ramparts behind the Halles d’Angoulême for a clearer view.

The mapping is also back in its summer version. In the courtyard of the town hall. 16 minutes instead of 12 this winter, still in glory of the discovery of New York. It has been reworked, enriched and completed and will be scheduled on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Then, the Beaux jours will start on Friday July 5 at the Jardin vert at 6 p.m. with a tribute concert to Christian Escoudé, the Charente gypsy jazz guitarist who died in May. Sunday July 7, meet at La Nef with a concert at 4 p.m. for children with Captain Parad then for parents with Maxwell Farrington & Le SuperHomard.
