After the 16-year-old teenager from Lunel and the 35-year-old Mudaisonnais firefighter, it is a 19-year-old student from Marseille who, this time, denounces having been the victim of a racist attack on Chemin de l’Esclafidou.

According to his hearing, the events took place this Saturday, June 22, around 3 p.m. He was arriving from Baillargues station on foot to meet friends when a vehicle (4×4) stopped behind him. He heard doors open. He barely had time to turn around when he received a first blow to the head.
“Four men then grabbed my arms and legs and threw me into the canal and then forced my head under water. They did this four or five times while calling me a “dirty Arab”. “You have no business here”, they shouted. They said I came from Jihad City, referring to Lunel.”
One of the attackers pulled out a knife
While they were putting his head under water, they took the opportunity to punch him, especially in the back. They then snatched his bag where he had put his wallet, all his identity papers, his bank card, his mobile phone, his house keys and 30 euros in cash.
“At one point, one of them pulled out a knife, I got scared, I struggled and I managed to get out of the embrace. And I ran away. On the road, I stopped a vehicle and got in, asking the driver to take me away from here.”

A little further on, they came across a police vehicle. He went to see them and explained to them what he had just suffered. They asked him to show them where the attack took place.
“There was a small (Editor’s note, the 16-year-old from Lunel) and a woman who told the police that the boy had also been attacked and that she had filmed the scene. She showed us the video on which I recognized my attackers.”
Seven days of ITT
After presenting himself to the emergency room of the Via Domitia clinic in Lunel, he came out with a certificate of seven days of total incapacity for work.
