Christos Tzolis scored four goals for Club Brugge against Sint-Truiden. However, he was replaced by coach Nicky Hayen after an hour of play.

Christos Tzolis only needed 48 minutes to score four goals against STVV. The Greek can thank his captain Hans Vanakenhere he offered a penalty.

“It’s a match that will always stay in my memory,” Tzolis told Newspaper. “I’ve never scored four goals in a match before.”

He thinks his first goal was the best of all, “although the fourth wasn’t bad either,” he added. He especially appreciated the gesture of Vanaken, who let him take the penalty.

However, Tzolis regretted not having been able to score a fifth or perhaps even a sixth goal when he was replaced on the hour mark. But the main thing probably did not lie in that…

“It’s a shame that I was substituted just before the hour mark, because it brings extra points for my Fantasy team (a virtual football game, editor’s note). I made myself captain because I knew I was going to score.” , Tzolis joked to The Latest News.
