It was the last city council meeting on June 20 before the summer holidays. A few points are noteworthy. Here they are in detail.
A tribute was paid to Kader Hammadi. The majority municipal councilor died suddenly at the age of 69 on May 30. “Tireless worker”, in the words of Quentin Brière, the memory of Kader Hammadi was saluted with a minute of silence. According to the rule in use, it is the elected official following the order of the list who will replace him within the municipal assembly. This is Souleymane Diawara.
2 Aubervilliers
The main issue at the meeting was the city’s plan to build new housing. “Finding more offers is not that simple, we can’t find developers to build in cities like ours”, underlines Quentin Brière. Mayor Bragard therefore established a “alliance” with the city of Aubervilliers in Seine-Saint-Denis. The principle: to twin two plots of land, one in Aubervilliers in the Cœur de Fort district, developed by Grand Paris Aménagement, which will accommodate 88 new homes, one in Saint-Dizier with 50 homes in the city center, in the Malterie sector. “This has never been done in France,” assures Quentin Brière, even explaining that the “angry vote” in favor of the RN to Europeans is linked to the lack… of housing in Saint-Dizier.
