For the first time at the Tours de Merle, visitors will be able to discover the site with an audio guide recorded with the voice of Ugo Broussot. Guides will offer dramatized tours, guided tours, exclusive tours at the time when the sun is setting.
A game of rings will allow you to understand Merle’s castrum while playing; medieval counters will reveal dyeing, calligraphy and even medieval spices…
Murder parties
The big new feature of the summer is the Murder Party in the evening: visitors will become investigators and find themselves in the middle of summer in the year of grace 1255.
The other novelty is the big summer show with the old fencing circle which will present a new creation with a series of shows Destiny of knights . This farce full of sword fights and stunts will be offered from July 25 to August 16 (three times a day, Monday to Friday).
Weeks dedicated to medieval techniques will also bring the site to life in mid-July and mid-August, a blacksmith will come to the site four times; dancers from the Arbre Fée will bring the site to life at the end of August, a squirrel wheel will be presented with Maisons paysannes de France and Historiae Vivae will introduce young and old to sword fighting techniques…
