Météo France forecasts five to ten centimeters of cumulative snow from 400 m altitude, 15 to 30 cm from 800 meters altitude, 20 to 40 cm at 1200 m and 40 to 60 above 2000 m. LThe snowy episode should continue into the afternoon with a mild spell expected at the end of the afternoon in the Buëch region as far as Gapençais, while a calm is expected in the evening for the north of the department.
In the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the first snowflakes are expected in the morning with a rain-snow limit expected from 300 to 400 m. Then the snow should intensify during the afternoon with the first snow falling on the ground from 300 meters above sea level.
