David Lévesque, one of two men in their thirties arrested on February 2 during a drug search on the 1re avenue Ouest in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, is continuing his therapy for his addiction problems, which has forced the postponement of his cases at the Sainte-Anne-des-Monts courthouse until August 20.

Lévesque has been detained since his arrest following an operation carried out by Sûreté du Québec police officers. He was found criminally responsible following a psychiatric evaluation.

Pre-trial detention served before a sentence is imposed is counted at 1.5 days for each day spent in prison.

Promise to appear

The second suspect was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
