Première Vision is not renewing its partnership with the Hyères International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories. The textile show will be present for the last time in Hyères, as a partner, during the 2024 edition scheduled for October 10 to 13. The information was confirmed to us by the show, which emphasizes that this decision was taken before the change in management. That is, before the arrival in March of Florence Rousson as president of the management board of Première Vision, who succeeded Gilles Lasbordes.

The Hyères Festival will be deprived of support from Première Vision from 2025 – villanoailles.com

Since 2013, the trade fair specializing in textiles has sponsored the Grand Prix du Jury de mode, the most important category of the Hyères Festival. In particular, it supports the finalists of the competition by giving them access to raw materials for their collection. If the textile event will no longer sponsor the competition for young designers, as its management told the Fashion United media, it nevertheless wishes to continue to welcome the finalists, it wants to tell us. The idea is to continue this welcome by offering young designers participating in the competition personalized support from around a hundred exhibitors, helping them make their choice of materials and obtaining support from manufacturers.

Première Vision wants to change its approach in its engagement with young designers, now focusing on more targeted initiatives. For example through partnerships with fashion schools, such as IFM in Paris or Naba and IED in Milan.

As for the Hyères Festival, we were unable to gather any reactions. This Thursday, June 27, the organizers were in the middle of the inauguration of the Design Parade, the second most important event for the Villa Noailles art center, alongside the Hyères Festival.

Première Vision is not the only supporter of the fashion competition. Far from it. The Festival has around forty private partners, including Chanel, one of the main sponsors, active alongside Mercedes-Benz, Hermès, American Vintage, LVMH, Kering, the Alliance of European Linen and Hemp and Galeries Lafayette. The budget is also covered at 60% by public institutions, including, among others, the municipality, the Var department, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolis and the government via various subsidies.
