The second round of the 2024 legislative elections is in less than a week. The French are once again called to the polls to choose their future deputies to the National Assembly.

In Loiret, the National Rally came out on top with 38% of the vote and in five out of six constituencies. To block this, several candidates from the six constituencies announced that they would withdraw in favor of the candidate facing the RN.

1st constituency (Orléans-Sud):

  • Stephanie Rist (Renaissance-Ensemble), outgoing MP: 31.6% in the first round
  • Tiffanie Rabault (National Rally): 28% in the first round

Ghislaine Kounowski (PS-New Popular Front) came second with 31.4% of the vote, but she announced she was withdrawing to support the outgoing MP.

2nd constituency (Orléans-West):

  • Elodie Babin (National Rally): 32.9% in the first round
  • Emmanuel Duplessy (New Popular Front): 28% in the first round

The outgoing Renaissance-Ensemble MP, Caroline Janvierqualified in third place for the second round with 23% of the vote, but she chose to withdraw.

3rd constituency (Sologne-Gien):

  • Mathilde Paris (National Rally), outgoing MP: 45.5% in the first round
  • Constance de Pélichy (Various Right): 32% in the first round

The LFI-NFP candidate Clement Greenqualified with 19.3% of the vote, will not run in the second round in order to support the candidacy of the mayor of La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, Constance de Pélichy.

4th constituency (Montargis):

  • Thomas Menage (National Rally), outgoing MP: 49.65% in the first round
  • Bruno Nottin (PCF-New Popular Front): 21.14% in the first round

5th constituency (Fleury-Pithiviers):

  • Jean-Lin Lacapelle (National Rally): 43.37% in the first round
  • Anthony Brosse (Renaissance-Ensemble), outgoing MP: 22%

The candidate for the New Popular Front, Anne-Laure Boutetwho qualified in third position with 19.7% of the votes, withdrew.

6th constituency (Orléans-East):

  • Anthony Zeller (National Rally): 31.8% in the first round
  • Richard Ramos (MoDem-Ensemble), outgoing MP: 30.6% in the first round

Christophe Laviallea candidate for the New Popular Front, who came just behind the duo with 29.7% of the vote, withdrew before the second round and supported the candidacy of the outgoing deputy.
