Champions Cup 24/25: UBB’s opponents are known! – News – Union Bordeaux Bègles (UBB Rugby)

The traditional draw for the European Cups took place this Tuesday, July 2 at 12:00 in Cardiff, where the 2025 Finals will be played. We now know UBB’s opponents for the upcoming season, in the same competition format as last season: 4 group matches, each against a different club!

Like last season, the 24 clubs participating in the Champions Cup are divided into 4 groups of 6 clubs. Each club will play 4 matches against 4 different opponents: two at home and two away. As a reminder, no match is possible between two clubs from the same championship, which means that UBB will not face a TOP14 club during the group stage.

At the end of these four matches, the four best teams from each group will qualify for the round of 16. The fifth-placed teams will be transferred to the Challenge Cup.

UBB’s opponents

For its 7th Champions Cup campaign, UBB will face in the hen 1 THE Holywoodbets South African Sharks (winners of the 2024 Challenge Cup), two English clubs and not the least, Exeter et Leicester, and the Irish of l’Ulster. If Stade Toulousain is also present in this group of 6 teams, the European champions will not cross paths with the Girondins in the group stage for the reasons mentioned above.
