On Wednesday, June 26, the municipality of Saint-Brieuc presented Balzac en fête, at the new space, the Balzac crossroads, created to bring residents together. Until August 30, many events are organized to, according to Martine Hubert, deputy for solidarity, social development and housing, “bring life back to this liberated space and become a new leisure destination.”

Lively Wednesdays

First of all, it is Balzac Wednesdays, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., which will offer all audiences rich and varied activities: shuffleboard pétanque and Mölkky competitions, Brittany sports and games, DIY workshops. reuse and painting… Annabelle, a local resident, will organize a cooking workshop “a place for sharing in making and tasting”. The evenings (from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.) will be lively with DJ sets, blind tests and karaoke.

Full of flavors

Every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., a food truck, Clandestino, will bring a Latin touch with music and culinary specialties. On Friday, a tavern offered by the MJC du Plateau and on Saturday, the organization of a barbecue will complete these meeting times in conviviality.

“Satisfied with the mobilization of around thirty partners”, Nicolas Nguyen, sales assistant for attractiveness and animation, sees in “this program the foreshadowing of what tomorrow will be”.
