Until June 28, the city of Versailles welcomes the 90th anniversary of the Air and Space Force. This prestigious anniversary is an opportunity for the institution to organize three days of festivity in the royal city, between conferences, demonstrations, and exhibitions of the most beautiful army aircraft models. The location was not chosen at random, because it was initially at the Petite Écurie du Castle of Versailles that is born the Air School in 1935.
Visitors can admire legendary devices such as the Mirage III et the Rafaleas well as models and interactive presentations on satellites and space technologies used by the military.
Great dress rehearsal
To these mirages and gusts are added the famous Alpha Jet of the Patrouille de France, one of the models of which is on display facing the Palace of Versailles. The public will also have the chance to discover tricolor planes in action, since the “PAF” will carry out numerous demonstrations in the sky of Versailles.
To coordinate with all the other flying machines that will participate in the weekend’s air parades, the Patrouille de France and other aircraft took part in a major rehearsal this Wednesday, June 26. At sunset, the PAF and the Air and Space Force aerobatic teamamong others, were able to evolve above Versaillesand reveal part of their numerous paintings.
