Take advantage of this to stock up, Quebec vegetables are at a discount!

In order to help our readers cope with, among other things, the repercussions of rising food prices, our new collaborator Myriam Gendron, creator of the site Simply eatoffers a low-cost menu every week based on the best grocery discounts of the week.

Grocery store discounts from June 27 to July 3, 2024

This week, broccoli and cauliflower from Quebec are starting to appear on the shelves. And very soon, it will be the turn of raspberries, field cucumbers and carrots.

Speaking of the latter, you may have noticed that it’s been a very long time since we’ve seen any at a discount: that’s because local reserves were exhausted even before the start of winter due to poor harvests. . We bet they will be even better after this long wait!

If you are unsure of the origin of the fruits and vegetables in the flyer, pay particular attention to the small print under the name of the food: the country or province is clearly identified. In the case that interests us, we are looking for the specific mention “product of Quebec” (and not just Canada).

Happy eating!

FEATURED THIS WEEK

OVERVIEW OF FLYERS

Discounts that are definitely not to be thrown away this week when it comes to proteins. Fish and seafood can be worth it, as can steaks… but let’s say that if you don’t need anything, it’s a good idea to dip into the reserves! It is during ordinary circulars that the advantage of stocking at the lowest price makes a difference: we are not dependent on specials, we have more latitude and we really do better.

85 g canned tuna are more expensive, but tastier (they can be in oil or flavored). For a reduced price per portion, you can also opt for two cans of plain light tuna in water (the extra can then be added to the salad at lunch). As for the cherry tomatoes, I simply suggest replacing them with the same quantity of cubed tomatoes (a little more than half a pound).
