Nantes municipal swimming pools closed this summer

The city of Nantes and its 327,000 inhabitants theoretically have 6 municipal swimming pools in total. Among them, the Léo-Lagrange swimming pool, Jules Verne, the Petite Amazonie, Dervallières, the Durantière and that of the Petit-Port. Unfortunately in practice, and due to work delays, most will remain closed this summer. We take stock.

1 in 6 swimming pools open without restriction

When we take stock of the municipal swimming pools of Nantes, it is clear that only the Léo-Lagrange swimming pool is open continuously and without restriction this summer 2024. Indeed, the Dervallières and Petite Amazonie swimming pools are still under construction until 2025 and the Durantière closes like every summer. Also note that access is limited to certain pools at the Petit-Port swimming pool from July 2 to August 6. Finally, the Jules Verne swimming pool is currently experiencing a technical problem forcing it to close until July 2.

The Petit Port swimming pool: From 02/07 to 06/08: only the learning pool, the paddling pool and the small slide will be open (maximum capacity: 150 people)
