Kamel Haryouli has opened a new restaurant in the town center of the bastide. Sun Poke. Located on rue des Girondins, it mainly offers poke bowls (Hawaiian specialties), but also chirashi (Japanese version of the poke bowl). Already with several experiences in the restaurant business, the manager set out on his own for the first time, at the age of 34. Being a big fan of poke bowls himself, he wants to offer a fast food service that is above all good for your health.

The young restaurateur was born and raised in the country house. “For me, the city center of Villeneuve-sur-Lot is a family affair, because for a long time my family was a merchant there,” he explains. And even if catering is not his original field, Kamel did not want to skimp on the quality of the ingredients. “All our poke bowls are based on vinegared sushi rice like in the real Hawaiian recipe. Afterwards, it is the customers who add the proteins and accompaniments of their choice,” specifies Villeneuvois.

Digital for speed

Before launching into catering, Kamel trained in the digital field. With Sun Poké, he wanted to put his skills into practice, to stand out. He has created a website and an application on which customers can order by “click and collect” or by delivery. In the Sun Poké premises, a terminal is installed to place orders. Independent delivery people guarantee delivery. “Thanks to our location, at lunchtime we are able to serve downtown workers. So speed is a very important point for us,” explains the thirty-year-old.

Kamel also offers Too Good To Go on its unsold items: “For our part, it saves us from waste and for customers, it allows them to eat healthy for less than 4 euros. » he adds.
