Several complaints for the dissemination of information making it possible to identify the three accused as well as for threats have been filed. Among the people targeted, two 13-year-old minors indicted.

Complaints were filed for threats, harassment and dissemination of information allowing the identification of the three minors implicated in the rape coupled with anti-Semitic insults and violence of a teenage girl in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine), said the Nanterre prosecutor’s office on Tuesday, requested by AFP.

The Crime Suppression Brigade “has received several complaints and reports as part of investigations opened, in particular for the dissemination of identification details of the minors involved on social networks and for violation of the confidentiality of the investigation,” the prosecution said.

Complaints for “harassment” and “threats”

The prosecution also received complaints and reports “for harassment and threats against the three indicted and their entourage”, entrusted to different services of the Territorial Directorate of Local Security (DTSP) of the department.

Two of these minors, aged 13, were indicted on June 19 for gang rape, death threats, insults and violence of an anti-Semitic nature against a 12-year-old girl in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine).

These facts have aroused great emotion in the Jewish community and the entire political class, in the midst of the campaign for the early legislative elections.

A third 12-year-old suspect was placed under the status of assisted witness for rape and indicted for the other offenses covered by the investigation, according to the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office.

The two 13-year-old teenagers were placed under a committal order by a liberty and detention judge, while the youngest was the subject of a provisional judicial educational measure and is currently placed in a home.

The 12-year-old girl was raped on June 15 by young people her age who called her a “dirty Jew” and threatened with death in this suburban town northwest of Paris.
