The big band students from the Francis Poulenc Conservatory and the students from the Brasov music high school amazed the audience at the Antoine Watteau Theater, June 24. This musical alliance reflects the friendly relations established over several months between Nogent and Brasov (Romania): “ music is our common language » recalled Jacques JP Martin, the mayor of Nogent, proud to be both “ partner and friend » by Allen Coliban, the mayor of Brasov, who praised the quality of Franco-Romanian exchanges, in the presence of Ecaterina-Maria Constantinescu, consul general of Romania.
The ephemeral orchestra formed between the Nogent Conservatory and the Brasov Music High School is a fine example of the friendly relations that are being forged between our two cities. After a concert given last April in Romania, the French and Romanian students performed in front of the Nogent public, including many representatives of associations, who discovered a high-level artistic performance.
Under the direction of Mihaela Izabelle Brasoveanu for the Romanian high school, and Hikmet Thiery for the Nogent big band, the musicians and Katarina, the singer, offered a high quality concert. Between covers of film music, French songs and a more classical repertoire, each piece triggered loud applause

. He presented the city medal and a painting representing Nogent (signed Tudor Banus) to his Romanian counterpart and to the consul general. In return he received the flag of the city of Brasov. On this evening of friendship, the brotherhood of small white wine wanted to give the Romanian delegation a bottle from the Nogent grape harvest.
