This Monday, June 24, the big evening was held “ Best neighborhood restaurant » organized by Progress and The City of Lyon in the unique setting of the Lyon City Hall. The objective: to reward the best restaurants in each district of Lyon. An annual event created in 2019 which highlights Lyon’s historic know-how in terms of gastronomy, promoting quality cuisine, based on fresh, local and seasonal products, friendly and accessible to all.
Low price, small room and home kitchen
For this 5th edition, Lyonnais were invited to vote for their favorite addresses from a selection of more than 200 restaurants meeting precise specifications: a daily special of less than or equal to €14, a room with a maximum of 60 seats, homemade and local cuisine, respect for the seasonality of the products and being open for more than a year. For the occasion, the 9 best restaurants in each Lyon district but also 3 special categories (“world cuisine”, “veggie-friendly” and “organic”) were crowned.
