To ensure that the passage of the Flame remains a memorable memory for Chaumontais, the City has decided to make June 28 a colorful day!
This flame should not be extinguished. However, it is from the fire station that the Olympic Flame will leave on June 28. She will set off for a 1 hour 45 minute journey through the town before returning to the town of Froncles and ending her journey in Haut-Marne in Saint-Dizier.
Single event, single device. The City and local associations have joined forces to offer activities on five sites punctuating the route: the square du Boulingrin where Chaumont beach will be located, the Agathe Roullot garden, the town hall and the Daniel Louis stadium where the final bouquet.

The objective for the City was clearly to make this event a great moment of celebration for families in Chaumont and the surrounding area.
Starting by making children’s eyes shine. This is why more than 1,500 schools have benefited from the arrival of graphic designers in their school. They made banners and pennants to add as much color as the fresco designed by Murs-Mur on one of the facades of the Gagarine swimming pool.
“The idea was that all along the passage we would have children who animate in a graphic and joyful way to create a multicolored tide”specifies Paul Fournié, first deputy in charge of culture and events.

Middle and high school students, released for the occasion, are also invited to come and watch the passage or try out the activities offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sport but not only. Music, creative or well-being workshops are also included alongside initiations, tournaments and sports demonstrations.
With football at Boulingrin to parkour at JAR, climbing at Chaumont beach but also co sports, judo, gym, fencing, etc., at the Daniel Louis stadium, there will be for everyone. Whatever your age.
And because it’s a party, the evening will continue well after the flame has passed the stadium, with from 9 p.m., ”Queen a man”, a burlesque show of majorettes with Freddy Mercury style to music that everyone world knows proposed by Arts vivants 52, followed by the batucada of Percus and shirts and a fireworks display.
