It was the day to celebrate all forms of music. Friday June 21, the city center of Tournefeuille was transformed to welcome music and allow everyone to have a good time.

From the water jet roundabout to the town hall square, the street was closed to cars in order to restore rue Gaston Doumergue to pedestrians. In the middle of the evening of the European Football Cup, with the match of France against the Netherlands and the Top 14 semi-final between Stade Toulouse and La Rochelle, one would have thought that the event would be shunned by the most of Tournefeuillais, which was not the case. Moreover, the Marcel André bistro had made a screen available to its customers so that rugby fans could enjoy both the music and the sport. On the town hall square, a stage has been deployed and it serves as the main stage for the various artists of the evening. It is the Argentinian voice of Leonor Harispe which animates the beginning of the evening. Her songs talk about capitalism, patriarchy, feminism. Refreshment bar and snacks were available.

The town hall square is not the only place dedicated to celebrating music. The small square behind the town hall of Tournefeuille was also entitled to its stage. A group of young people were giving a rock concert. An evening which seemed to please the Tournefeuillais like Lucas, who came with friends: “It’s an opportunity to go out and get together. We can buy a drink and enjoy the music while walking around”, laughs Lucas.

The last musical notes faded away at midnight.
