2024 LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS. Who are the candidates and parties in the second round in Lot-et-Garonne?

This Sunday, July 7, voters in Lot-et-Garonne will go to the polls for the second time to elect their deputies. In the three constituencies, six candidates are still in the running.

In Lot-et-Garonne, 70.05% of voters went to the polls on Sunday, June 30. In the department, the National Rally, already elected in two constituencies, came out on top everywhere. It totaled 44.42% of the vote. In second place, the New Popular Front, still in the running in one constituency, reached 23.73%. Symbolizing a lack of love with the presidential group, Ensemble only reached 17.42% and kept only one candidate in the second round.
If the submission of lists ends this Tuesday, July 2 at 6 p.m., here is what is emerging in the department for this second round.

The outgoing MP, Michel Lauzzana is still in the race with 28.41% of the vote. For this second round of the legislative elections, the Ensemble candidate will face Sébastien Delbosq, who emerged victorious last Sunday with 43.11% of the vote.

In this constituency, as in many others, a three-way race was formed after the first round. In third place, candidate Paul Vo Van finally withdrew and called for a vote for the outgoing MP, to block the National Rally.

Elected since 2017, Michel Lauzzana is a general practitioner, originally from Bon-Encontre, where he was mayor for 16 years. Without a label, he joined the En Marche movement in December 2016. He was elected, in 2022, with 51.94%.

Facing him, Sébastien Delbosq, president of the National Rally in Lot-et-Garonne, is running again, after a failure against Michel Lauzzana, in 2022. He is also a regional councilor of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Originally from Agen and used to elections, the candidate has been running, almost systematically, for ten years.

Already in 2022, the second constituency had carried the National Rally candidate to the seat of deputy. Last Sunday, Hélène Laporte came close to victory in the first round with 49.31% of the votes.

In the second round, the incumbent candidate will face Christophe Courregelongue, the socialist candidate of the New Popular Front, who has won 26.89% of the vote. In this constituency, too, a three-way race was formed after the first round, with the candidacy of Jean-Marc Lenzi, the Ensemble candidate. The latter ultimately chose to withdraw, calling for a vote for the New Popular Front candidate.
