a very relevant training organization sets up its first foothold in Saint-Dizier

IS Groupe – Institut de Soudure sets up a training branch in Saint-Dizier. Qualified pipefitters will emerge in a few months, all already “signposted” to a company for an adventure which should end with a permanent contract. The local industrial fabric and this new partner have something to grind, for the benefit of the region.

The inauguration of the Haut-Marne branch of the Welding Institute took place Thursday June 20, 2024 at the end of the morning in Saint-Dizier, in the presence of the mayor, the president of Medef 52, the president of the CCI 55 -52 and officials from France Travail.

The system put in place provides that for one year – for the moment – the Welding Institute will train pipefitters, previously job seekers, now referred to companies in the sector.

Contrary to what its name might suggest, the Welding Institute is today more of a company than an institute. This company, among its skills, notably offers training for 25% of its turnover. This training – recognized as high level – is geared towards careers in industry.

The site selected for this project is located on Avenue desUnis, in the immediate vicinity of Pré Moinot. Currently, around ten trainees are being trained as pipefitters. A notable aspect if there ever was one: everyone is certain of being welcomed by a company at the end of their training if they complete it successfully.

Quentin Brière underlined the commitment of France Travail and the Grand Est Region to this unprecedented project in Haute-Marne. Nicolas Boulommier recalled the benefits for a company of being offered candidates who are already qualified. Richard Papazoglou hailed a collective success which therefore allows “a formula 1 of training” to set foot in Haute-Marne. Because this is what everyone involved in the project has in mind: a much longer and more diversified contract between the Institut de Soudure group and Saint-Dizier. Because the “training” section of the host goes far beyond the skills of pipefitters alone. And companies in the sector often lack qualified labor. “Stay” said Quentin Brière twice to the Managing Director of IS Groupe who clearly heard the message.

IS Groupe employs 1,200 people and develops a turnover of 100 million euros. It is also an actor in integration.
