This week, Versailles will vibrate to the rhythm of the Patrouille de France

Residents of Yvelines, it’s time to scan the sky! And not just for the return of the sun. This week, the Air and Space Force (AAE) is coming to Versailles to celebrate its 90 ans. For the occasion, she plans to pull out all the stops.

The days of Thursday June 27 and Friday June 28, 2024 will allow all aviation lovers, amateurs and simply those who dream of it to enjoy exhibitions, conferences and meetings. It will all end with a unique show in the castle gardens on Friday evening. The evening was sold out with 20,000 tickets sold. But nothing prevents you from positioning yourself around the site and in the extension of the Grand canal to enjoy. Here are the key moments of the festivities.

An Alphajet on the street

• Thursday June 27 and Friday June 28:

At 11 a.m.: inauguration in the presence of the Patrouille de France of the AAE Experience Village on the Avenue de Paris esplanade where an Alphajet, a Mirage 2000C and flight simulators will be on display.

At the Palais des Congrès: free exhibition open to all, offering conferences and moments of exchange with the Patrouille de France crews, immersions on simulators… Thursday June 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday June 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

• Thursday June 27 in the evening

Nocturnal ceremonies at La Petite Écurie, in tribute to the first aviator students. Three promotions of officer, non-commissioned officer and non-commissioned officer cadets will respectively be baptized and presented to the flag. Sound and light show.

• Friday June 28 in the evening

Aerial demonstrations above the gardens of the Palace of Versailles (8 p.m.-9:15 p.m.), followed by the Grandes Eaux nocturnal show, closed with fireworks and a drone show. For the occasion: Patrouille de France, Rafale Solo Display, A400M, Aerobatic Team, Phénix Parachute Team…
