With Elora Valingot

Sport is celebrating this Sunday, June 23 in the park of the Oise Departmental Council hotel, in Beauvais, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. A symbolic date since it is none other than Olympic and Paralympic Day, just over a month away of the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

So this will be the 3e edition of this event, free, and which will serve as “showcase to show the involvement of the Oisian sporting world”, rejoices Nadège Lefebvre, president of the Department. Hoping that the sun will also be there like last year.

In any case, 57 stands (mainly with 50 clubs and sports committees from Oise, as well as others on disability awareness) will be set up on site to introduce you to the different Olympic and Paralympic disciplines.

We will then find the essentials of the Olympics with basketball, handball, triathlon, athletics, horse riding, modern pentathlon… but also blind football or even lesser known sports such as double dutch and korfball.

The sports festival also includes shows: “The important thing is to participate” (in reference to Pierre de Coubertin, the father of modern Olympics) or even performances by Batucada.
