Here we go, the Chaumont summer has begun! From June 21 and until the end of summer, the city puts on summer colors. Free activities and shows open to all are therefore planned. This year, the Olympic Games will punctuate the city and in particular the flagship event awaited by everyone: Chaumont beach.
The first installations arrived at Square du Boulingrin at the start of the week. Indeed, Chaumont Beach will arrive earlier this year, from June 26, with a brand new program focused on the Olympic Games.
Thus, two sports areas will take over their neighborhood, one of which will be equipped with a large screen to broadcast UEFA, the Tour de France and the Olympic Games.
« The idea is to broadcast as many Olympic events as possible based on current events and the success of the French “, explains Jessica Kaci, sports assistant. A nice and cocooning space is therefore announced by the elected officials.
More than seven free spaces
Obviously, Chaumont beach is not just sports areas. The usual spaces will also make a return but some will have some new features.
As usual, a “family entertainment” area will be present accompanied by activities for children. The open stage will also make a comeback, welcoming interventions by associations to carry out theatrical and/or musical activities.
Finally, the media library space will allow users to read, register and even borrow books, but not only that.
