Sarreguemines prepares for Summer Fest 2024

Summer Fest 2024 in Sarreguemines begins this Friday, June 21. With a varied and festive program, the city offers a series of cultural, sporting, popular and friendly events throughout the summer. Marc Zingraff, the mayor, gives us an overview of the highlights to come.

Sarreguemines is preparing to vibrate to the rhythm of Summer Fest 2024, a summer celebration which begins this Friday, June 21 with the music festival.

We hope that the weather will be good, because it is really decisive,

This first event will be followed by the Saint-Paul Street Arts Festival on the weekend of June 28, 29 and 30.

The passage of the Olympic flame

One of the highlights of this summer will be the passing of the Olympic flame, scheduled for June 27.

Olympism is the color of this entertainment season

On July 13, the city will celebrate with the traditional fireworks display, which this year will have the Olympic Games as its theme.

The fireworks will end an evening which will see the troops and firefighters parade, and will end on the banks of the Sarre with the traditional fireworks display

A rich cultural program

Summer Fest 2024 also offers a rich cultural program: exhibitions, film screenings, shows, game evenings, guided tours, and boat trips. “The days are long in summer and we want to live in our city. Not everyone goes on vacation. The sweetness of life is in summer and the Sarregueminois have well deserved it after a difficult year,” adds Marc Zingraff.

A stage open to local musicians

To liven up the city even more, a small stage was set up on the Market Square. Until September 30, music groups will have the opportunity to perform there, and already around twenty groups have registered to play there.
